Governor Lamont And Lt Governor Bysiewicz Invite Public To Attend Connecticut’s Annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

Governor Ned Lamont and Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz are inviting the public to attend the state's annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony held at the State Capitol in Hartford.

The ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony will be held on the north steps of the State Capitol and will include remarks from Governor Lamont, Lt. Governor Bysiewicz, and other state officials.

The ceremony will also include a performance by the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and the singing of the National Anthem by the Connecticut Children's Choir. The ceremony will conclude with a wreath-laying ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial located on the Capitol grounds.

The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony to remember and honor the victims of the September 11, 2001, attacks. The ceremony is free and open to the public.
